4 Ways to Increase your Blog Traffic from Pinterest

Pinterest is a social networking site for picture sharing, just like you update your Facebook and Twitter status, you can update your Pinterest status by pinning an image that interests you for people to re-pin and comment.

Just like you share your blog content on Twitter and Facebook to get traffic and visitors, you can also utilize Pinterest for the same purpose.

The pins you share through your blog are do-follow, thus helping you to get more rank on search engines.

A report released by comScore recently showed that Printerest has been growing rapidly, and in May 2011, it has grown by 4377%. This method can be utilized to get traffic from Pinterest.

Share a lot of content

You are doing your site well if you take time to pin so much images to your Pinterest boards, you will have to share your content alongside others content. This will help you get more traffic from Pinterest.

Create cool boards rich in contents and it will attract people to search your blog for the interesting thing about the image.

Try to make sure all your pins both from your blog and others are on one board.

The Next Web is a blog that has a good Pinterest brand, it has several boards to pin a lot of contents in category, e.g, Social Media, Technology, Mobile etc, those ones published on their site.

Just like I suggested, looking at their board, they mixed content, from other blogs with theirs. Based on the title of board, they pin images and use that to flood their site with cool traffic from Pinterest.

Another thing that amazes me about TNW is that, they have a board where they pin images of their writers, editors, contributors and staff, this will help their regular readers know their authors. Tech and Design TNW Board on Pinterest

Try to do Taller Images

As Dan Zarrella researched, he discovered that taller images attract more re-pins. Your shared images goes more viral on repin if they are taller bringing you traffic from Pinterest. This does not indicate that you create oblong images, but a reasonably long image.

One way to do this is to attach several images together; it may even be a step by step tutorial image.

Pinterest is useless if you have got no image on your blog post, if you don’t use images, and then forget about Pinterest, it is the image that takes you to the social platform, for you to be able to get traffic from Pinterest.

If you add a wonderful and unique image to you post, people who come across them can pin them, and re-pin goes through pinterest and in a circular phenomenon, you are getting traffic from Pinterest to your blog.

Add Default Image to your blog

A default image on your blog helps out in case you forgot to add an image to your post, the default image must be visible on every post and page and with this, and this image can be pinned whenever your reader wishes to share your post on Pinterest. You can set the image on the header, sidebar or footer on your blog.Man sharing lots of ideas about getting Pinterest Traffic

The image should be general and related to your blog niche, a Twitter bed in an environment will do if you have a niche related to social media. The image this time helps to drive traffic from Pinterest to your blog.
